Start with the work your team repeats every day: receiving stock, creating invoices, following up payments and reviewing reports. Write down where information is re-entered or difficult to find.
Ask for a demonstration using a realistic workflow, including a correction, a return and an end-of-day review. A polished dashboard alone cannot show how the system behaves when work gets complicated.
Agree what is included: users, locations, training, migration, support, backups and integrations. Keep the agreed scope in writing before implementation.
